This article is focused on the challenges posed by the developmentof oral production skills (including pronunciation) in a MassiveOpen Online Course (MOOC), a resource that is totally conditionedby the technologies and has very limited possibilities for individualadaptation. First, the difficulties that this goal poses arereviewed and confronted with some successful precedents that showhow to deal with those challenges. Next, we present a case study inwhich some strategies and resources have been used to develop oralskills and improve pronunciation in technologically mediated environments,a Spanish L-MOOC for migrants and refugees, absolutebeginners, developed at UNED (Spain).
